ExPa-Frucht GmbH was founded in 2008 by Anastasios Papadopoulos on the Munich wholesale market. It was created with support and in close cooperation with two leading companies in the Greek export industry in the “Fresh Fruit & Vegetables” segment.
Through binding cooperation with other producers and seasonal planning with customers, we now import an annual amount of approx. 60,000 tons (approx. 3,500 truckloads) fresh fruit and vegetables. Our leading products are cherries, asparagus and strawberries.
In 2014, the EXPA moved to a new office in addition to modern cooling and transshipment warehouse in Ottobrunn near Munich. Almost 20 employees are now working at the location. We are also a training company for several professions.
We work closely with IFS-certified logistics service providers. By using their state-of-the-art capacities, we can supply the organised food retail trade in Germany and Austria on a daily basis and cover their peak demand. In production, we contribute to quality and delivery capability with our intensive on-site presence. In addition, we develop a trusting cooperation with our partners through the mutual temporary exchange of personnel.
At ExPa there are many opportunities for professional development. On top of that, attractive remuneration arrangements and flexible working hours. In addition to German, many employees also speak Greek. However, it is not a must for a successful start at ExPas.
