Responsible is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
With the following statements we inform you about which personal data we collect and store from you.

§ 1 Collection of personal data

Personal data is any data that can be related to you personally – for example, your name, address, e-mail address or user behaviour. “Processing” of data means any operation performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection, recording, organisation, filing, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and on the basis of this data protection declaration. We process your data only as necessary for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly internet presence or website and for the provision of our content and services.

(1) Use of the website
In the case of merely informational use of our website – i.e., if you do not log in, register or submit any other information – only the personal data that your browser transmits to us to enable you to visit the website or that result from the fact of the data transfer itself are collected. These are:
IP address
Date and time of the request
Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
Content of the request (specific page)
Access status/http status code
Amount of data transferred
Website from which the request came
Browser software and version
Operating system and its interface.
This processing is technically necessary in order to be able to display our website to you. We also use the data for statistical evaluations to ensure the operational security and stability of our website. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1f DSGVO (General Data Protection Regulation in Germany). The processing of the aforementioned data is necessary for the provision of the website and to ensure the stability and operational security of the website and thus serves to protect a legitimate interest of our company. We also use the data to fulfil our legal obligations for reasons of data security. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1c DSGVO.

(2) Contacting us
When you write to us, e.g. by sending us an e-mail or contacting us via the contact form, we store the contact data provided by you, such as name, address, mobile phone number, e-mail and the information provided in your enquiry.

If you contact us within the framework of an existing contractual relationship or contact us in advance for information about our range of services or our other services, the data and information you provide will be processed for the purpose of processing and responding to your contact request on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b DSGVO. If you have consented to processing for the purpose of answering your enquiry, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO. In addition, we process your data to protect our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO for the appropriate response to customer/contact enquiries.

(3) Application for a job
When you apply for a job with us, we process your data for the purpose of carrying out the application process. This data includes your name, email address, address and telephone number, age, work history, qualifications, country of residence, language skills and any other personal information you provide as part of your interaction with us. We may also ask you for additional information to help us with our recruitment process and if you are offered a job, such as your date of birth and employment records. Processing may also take place electronically. This is particularly the case if an applicant submits relevant application documents to us electronically, for example by e-mail or via the homepage.

Your personal data will only be collected or processed by persons who are responsible for processing the application. All employees involved have been obliged to treat your data confidentially. In particular, they may not pass on any data to unauthorised persons. Your data will only be passed on to other partner companies if you have given your consent for this.

We process your personal data for the purpose of establishing and/or implementing the employment relationship with you (§ 26 BDSG, Federal Data Protection Act of Germany). If you have consented to the processing for the purpose of handling your application, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

In the event that we do not conclude an employment contract with the applicant, the application documents will be automatically deleted two months after notification of the rejection decision, provided that no other legitimate interests prevent deletion. Another legitimate interest in this sense is, for example, a duty to provide evidence in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act of Germany (AGG).

(4) Storage and deletion of data

The data processed by us will be deleted in accordance with our deletion concept as soon as their consents permitted for processing are revoked or other permissions cease to apply (e.g. if the purpose of processing this data has ceased to apply or it is not required for the purpose). This means that we only store your personal data for as long as it is required for the respective processing purpose and limit the storage period to the minimum necessary. In addition, we only store your data if we are entitled or obliged to do so in accordance with statutory retention periods (for example in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) or the German Fiscal Code (AO)). Our data protection information may also contain further details on the retention and deletion of data, which have priority for the respective processing.

§ 2 Use of cookies

In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies or similar technologies such as pixels (hereinafter generally referred to as “cookies”) are used on your computer when you use and visit our website. They are used to make the website as a whole more user-friendly and effective. Cookies are small text files that are stored by your browser on your end device to store certain information, or image files, such as pixels. The next time you visit our website with the same terminal device, the information stored in cookies is subsequently sent back either to our website (“first party cookie”) or to another website to which the cookie belongs (“third party cookie”).

Through the stored and returned information, the respective website recognises that you have already called up and visited it with the browser of your end device. We use this information to optimally design and display the website according to your preferences. Only the cookie itself is identified on your end device. Any further storage of personal data only takes place with your express consent or if this is absolutely necessary in order to be able to use the service offered and accessed by you accordingly.

This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below: “Transient cookies” and “Persistent cookies”:

Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This enables your computer to be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a set period of time, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.

You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all the features of this website.

We use cookies to identify you for subsequent visits if you have an account with us. Otherwise, you would have to log in again for each visit.

When you visit our offers for the first time, a pop-up is displayed (“cookie banner”) in which the individual cookies are described in more detail. There you have the option of allowing or rejecting cookies according to your preferences. You can change your settings at any time by clicking on our integrated icon at the bottom left of the website. We would like to point out that if you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

If you do not want cookies to be processed, you will need to install an appropriate add-on, for example “Better Privacy” for Mozilla Firefox or the Adobe Flash Killer Cookie for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by setting your browser to private mode. We also recommend that you regularly delete your cookies and browser history manually.

§ 6 Forwarding to third party websites

Our website contains links to third-party websites (so-called “external links”). As we have no influence on their content, we cannot accept any liability for the external content. The respective information provider of the linked website is always responsible for the content and accuracy of the information. At the time of linking, no legal violations were apparent. As soon as we become aware of a legal violation, we will immediately remove the respective link.

Otherwise, we will only actively pass on your data to third parties if you have consented to this or if there is another legal basis.

§ 7 LinkedIn

If you use our LinkedIn offer, data will be transmitted to LinkedIn Corporation, Attn: Legal Dept. (Privacy Policy and User Agreement), 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA.

If you are in the “Designated Countries”, LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (“LinkedIn Ireland”) becomes the controller of your personal data that is provided to, collected for, or processed by or in connection with the Services. By the term “Designated Countries” LinkedIn refers to the member countries of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) as well as Switzerland.

The address is: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Attn: Legal Dept. (Privacy Policy and User Agreement), Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

According to the European Court (ECJ) ruling of 5.6.2018, we act as joint controllers with LinkedIn pursuant to Art. 26 DSGVO.
Unfortunately, it has not yet been possible for us to conclude a legally compliant contract pursuant to Art. 26 of the DSGVO (joint control), as LinkedIn only stipulates unilateral contracts (standard contractual clauses). As a result, we would like to refer you to LinkedIn’s data protection information. All information on LinkedIn’s data protection, cookie policy and data subject rights can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy?_l=de_DE.
LinkedIn explicitly states that they process data both inside and outside the US, using legally provided mechanisms to lawfully transfer data across borders. Different laws may apply in the countries where they process data, which may not provide the same level of protection as the laws in Germany / the EU.

§ 8 Miscellaneous

(1) Security
We have taken technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All our employees and all third parties involved in data processing are obliged to comply with the DSGVO and to handle personal data confidentially.

(2) Changes to our data protection rules
We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures if this becomes necessary due to technical developments. In these cases, we will also adapt our data protection information accordingly. Please therefore refer to the current version of our data protection statement.
